In a significant leap towards environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, Enerjisa Enerji and Çimsa, Sabancı Group company, announces their collaboration on a Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) project at Cimsa Eskisehir plant.

This eco-friendly investment, realized through a groundbreaking Energy Performance Contract powered by Enerjisa Enerji, not only supports Turkey’s net zero emission goal but also marks a milestone in its green transformation journey.
Enerjisa Enerji has chosen CTP Team (Italy) and CTN Group (Turkey) to implement a cutting-edge WHR system based on Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology. The system is a comprehensive turn-key solution that consists of an AQC Heat exchanger and a PH Heat exchanger, boasting a combined thermal power capacity of approximately 20,800 KWt.

A smart tie-in of the cement line is set to keep stable the kiln process and especially the operation of the pre-heater tower and cooler takeout gas duct pressure. Top-notch remote monitoring coupled with modulating dampers controlled by a state-of-the-art PLC system, will maintain precise control over temperature and system performance.

This WHR system is designed to produce an estimated 40.000 MWh of energy annually, covering a remarkable 25 percent of the Cimsa Eskisehir plant’s yearly electricity consumption. The electricity to be generated in the WHR system will be equivalent to the annual electricity consumed by 13 thousand households.

Notably, the electricity generated is environmentally friendly and allow to generate low emission electricity avoiding 19,000 tons of CO2 equivalent emissions each year.

The Waste Heat Recovery system is slated for completion by the end of 2024, and its rapid return on investment underscores its financial viability
